Using the Patient Portal 

Our online patient portal is the quickest way to book a doctor’s appointment, book in for a flu vax, request repeat prescriptions and check results. This is operated by ConnectMed. And the best part - you can book an appointment 24/7!

How do I login to the patient portal?

  1. Click on the large green button at the top of our website labelled Book Online
  2. You will be asked to login to the portal. Enter your username and password. Click "Login"
  3. You will now be in the portal

How do I get a login to the portal?

Please email info@pakmed.co.nz requesting registration to the portal. 

How do I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT in the portal?

  1. Once logged into the Patient Portal, click on the "Appointments" tab and click "Book Appointment" OR click the arrow next to the word "Book Appointment" 
  2. You will go to the Appointment Book page and see all available appointments.
  3. Click on an "Appointment time" with a doctor of your choice.
  4. You will go to "Your Appointment" page.
  5. Select the type of appointment you require; in-clinic, phone or video.
  6. Answer the screening questions.
  7. Click "Next". 
  8. Enter the details of the patient being seen; yourself or a family member. Add a note for the doctor (if you wish)
  9. Click "Book Appointment"

How do I CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT in the portal?

  1. Once logged into the Patient Portal, click on the "Appointments" tab and click "Upcoming Appointments"
  2. Any upcoming booked appointments will feature below. Click "Cancel Appointment" to cancel the appointment. 

How do I ORDER A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION in the portal?

  1. Once logged into the Patient Portal, click on the Prescriptions tab
  2. The first form will be labelled "Order Prescriptions". 
  3. Select from the three drop downs - doctor, delivery and urgency
  4. Type in the name of your preferred pharmacy that you would like to collect your medicines from.
  5. Select the medications you would like repeats for by checking/ticking the select box
  6. Add any comments (if applicable)
  7. Click "Submit Request

How do I BOOK A FLU VACCINATION? 

To book a flu vaccination, follow the "booking an appointment" instructions above and select "Flu Clinic" instead of a "Doctor" in the Appointment Book. 

Anyone over the age of 6 months can have a flu vaccination. It is best to get it done in April and May, before the flu season really sets in. 

This year's flu season is likely to be particularly tough as we haven’t been exposed to all flu strains for the last couple of years due to our isolation.  Get vaccinated now to reduce your risk of catching the flu and severity of the illness.


In-clinic vs virtual (video/phone) appointments

When you book an appointment you can choose to have it in-clinic, via video or via phone.  

If you need to be seen in clinic for a physical examination, then select in-clinic. If you prefer to stay in the safety and comfort of your own home and continue to get expert healthcare then select video or phone. Many health conditions can effectively be treated via video. 


How long is an appointment?

Appointments are for the standard 15 minutes. In fairness to other patients and to avoid doctors delays, please make a double appointment if you have multiple issues to discuss with your doctor.


In the event of an emergency

If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe pain, allergic reaction, or bleeding, do not book online – contact our medical centre immediately or dial 111 for an ambulance.
